| When
our dog has puppies we find good homes for all of them. But how many of them are still in those homes a year or two later? And how many more kittens or puppies will THEY have? It isn't possible to find homes for all of them. |
| But
neutering will hurt them! No it won't. Neutering is a safe operation when done by a veterinarian. Afterward, your pet will be more contented and healthier too. |
| The
Humane Society or Animal Rescue will take care of them. They do the best they can, but they can't find homes for all of the millions of unwanted dogs and cats in the United States. Unfortunately, a lot of them have to be destroyed. |
| All
children should have a chance to watch puppies and kittens being born. But is it worth bringing unwanted animals into the world? Isn't it just as important that children learn about the pet overpopulation crisis? |
| I
can't afford to have my pet neutered. Can you afford not to? Can you sleep at night knowing you've been responsible for animals being born to starvation, death from cars, or unhappiness as a stray? |
| Nature
intended for animals to have babies. Yes, but nature didn't intend for millions of cats and dogs to die of starvation, disease or under the wheels of cars. Man has tamed them so they can't look after themselves. Now he has the responsibility to see that they don't reproduce. |

| An
Animal Rescuer's Prayer Do not weep for me when I am gone for I have friends in the great beyond. All the little ones I used to feed will come to me in my time of need. They will purr and bark in great delight, And will hold and hug them tight, Oh what a great day that will be when my furry friends all welcome me. No matter who you are or where you live, you can help the animals. Volunteer for your local animal shelter, animal rescue or humane society. Donate time, money or supplies. Every little bit helps! |
